I learned from my godmother when I was twelve, and I don't think I could explain it someone without actually showing them. But you could ask the fine folks on this board - they are MUCH more knowledgeable than me, and I'm sure someone would be able to better help. :-)

I have been needle tatting for 7 or 8 years but only recently started shuttle tatting. You are truly an inspiration.

Oh, thank you. I haven't any idea how to needle tat myself, but I'm happy to just stick to shuttles. I have seven of them so far, and I can't quit buying them!
