So earlier today the ever wonderful donna-k linked me to some photos from The Recruiting Officer's first night party. Naturally these were very relevant to my interests. So many pretty people.

Oooh, lucky you getting a ticket without having to queue for day seats! (that is such the best photo from that photoset. I swear half of them forgot to take off their stage make-up!) Oh, and cravats are fashionable at the moment. :D

Super lucky. Thanks to oxoniensis going above and beyond the call of duty, tbh, for which I will be ever grateful. It seems like a pretty good seat too, from what I can see.

(Oh I know, right? Mark Gatiss looking very fetching in eyeliner and that tremendous beard/'tache combo he's sporting. I was chuffed when I found a bigger version of it on Tumblr.)

Cravats being fashionable is a pleasing thing. But I can't say that dearest Tobias quite pulls it off with THAT shirt and THAT suit. Bless him and his ridiculous fashion sense.

And I don't know - there is something about that ensemble, although I suspect the 'something' is the fact it's Tobias Menzies wearing it! The shirt was probably a mistake though. :D

Oh, Gods, I get nervous just thinking about it Donna! I mean. I would like to? But I have the genuine fear that I might just stare at him speechless. I mean, my track record isn't brilliant - I could barely speak to Derren Brown and I told the Barrowpants I'd only had an hour of sleep. I did manage a bit better with Daniel Boys, at least. But with them I wasn't in the flush of desperate hearteyes, as I am with Messr. Menzies, and I'm just afraid I wouldn't even be able to look at him let alone speak to him.

(And if I did I'd be vaguely afraid I might just confess my undying love for him. Which would be inappropriate to say the least.)

Oh, Gods, what if he does that adorable squinty confused face at me? I would expire on the spot. *tiny midnight flail*

The something probably is entirely down to Tobias. I think perhaps a plain shirt? Or maybe very thin stripes? But then, the suit itself looks slightly too big for him so *hands* it's all very Eamesian. I find it endearing, I think.
