An abbreviated list of things:

got an A in my first grad school class
bills suck
getting up at six in the morning to go to work sucks
books are awesome
been catching up on some of the new Marvel shows, can't wait to get to Jessica Jones (saving the best for last!)
I rate the new Star Wars movie as vastly better than the prequels, but not quite as good as ( Read more... )

But I don't enjoy my job, that's the problem, lol! It pays for grad school, though, and that's what'll get me a job I enjoy!

Congrats on the good grade in your grad class!

I thought the new Star Wars was like the originals re-done, in many ways. So many similarities. But I enjoyed it nonetheless, even more so after just re-watching the prequels, which I apparently banished from memory.

And I gotta say, must be nice to sleep in until 6:00.... :P Hope you're healing up well.

Yes to that A, congrats!!

I'm hoping they will somehow fit Mara Jade in this new film canon. :( It would be hard, imo, to ignore such a popular EU character.

I don't see how they can. Especially if fan theories are correct and Rey is somehow Luke's daughter. Because that would make Mara her mother, and somehow I can't imagine Mara allowing herself to be separated from her daughter. Frankly, can't imagine Luke doing that, either, unless he somehow didn't know he had a kid. But Mara's the best and I'd love to see her on the big screen somehow! As long as they don't mess her up.

She could be in flashbacks and died before Rey could be taken - which I know is just sad of me to even suggest, lol. Still, it would be better if she was alive. If Rey is Luke's daughter, I hope the writers have a good explanation for how Rey ended up on Jakku by herself.

I've also heard "she's Han and Leia's daughter" as a theory, but I'm not sure how they could swing that. I think it's wishful thinking so that we have a Skywalker/Solo canon child who is not evil. :(

I'm looking forward to the reason she was on Jakku, period! Poor Reeeeei. :(
