For a second Paul thinks he's hallucinating, because the tablet gives him only a shifting mess of black and white. He decides to close his eyes and just focus on the voice.
"Look like everyfuckingbody else," he says with a grimace as he tries to better center the handkerchief over his neck. "Except for when they whip out fangs and go about fucking biting you. Who the hell are you?"
Well as long as it's a good minding...? [visual]stepintoshadowsMay 13 2011, 13:12:38 UTC
The gesture is seen as a sign of weakness, although one he can understand; large-scale bloodloss is exhausting, and while it's seldom advisable to allow it to take hold, he can understand the appeal. He lets it pass.
"Rorschach." The name is offered almost absently, an answer to a question that he doesn't hold much regard for. The important part is the 'vampire', everything else is secondary. "Name irrelevant. Look the same when attacking, or are teeth only difference?" He's reminded of the monster he saw, glowing eyes and twisted flesh, and the image gives his question urgency. If it is indeed the same thing, the fact that the whimpering man survived at all is surprising in itself, and there are likely to be others to follow.
oh baby I'll mind you so good [visual]smeckerMay 14 2011, 00:47:51 UTC
Rorschach. What the fuck? What the fuck is with this entire fucking city? Vampires and guys named after psychiatric tests. Fucking fuck.
"You know, my mom almost named me Myers-Briggs, changed her mind at the last minute? Small fucking world, isn't it..." He's floating a little, both from surreal exhaustion with Taxon and, yeah, the blood loss too some.
He tries to focus, to bear down on the question. For all he's bitched about people not sharing information, he has to now or that makes him a ridiculous hypocrite. Focus.
"Eyes... yellow. Glowing, they were glowing. Face was all warped and hell, the eyebrows..." he tries to gesture, which just makes the tablet pan crazily over the birdhouse. "Strong, beyond-human strong. Fast too.
"If you're thinking about going after one, take some goddamn holy water with you."
"I wish those of you who know all this stuff would tell those of us who don't before we need it to defend our goddamn lives," Paul says, but he can't muster any actual anger to his tone, he just sounds tired. At the moment he doesn't know he's talking to one of the very vampires he's so paranoid about.
"It got her to stop biting me. If she comes back, I either try another bottle or I die, I fucking guess."

"Good to know," Paul rasps. "Mental note, grab a tranq gun. Who am I talking to?"
He could figure it out using the tablet, but that seems like an awful lot of work right in this moment. Plus, Paul's a fan of introductions-- people say a lot about themselves when they explain who they are.
At the moment Paul can't place the voice, another young woman-- why is Taxon so full of young women? Through the slight surreal haze of minor blood loss Paul tries to track that mental pathway down, but he's not making much progress on it.
"I'll live," he says tiredly, "...unless you don't, after getting bit. How's that work anyway? No, don't tell me right now, ugh. As for Dawn-- don't know."
A terse edge to his voice. "At the moment don't care, either, as long as she's not in here with me trying to drink my blood."
Despite himself, he half-coughs a laugh at her cut-off statement. "I trust that wasn't going to end with 'their dick'."
(Ohhh yeah. Self-censoring is way, way off right now.)
The offer to help-- to actually help-- gets him to open his eyes again, try and focus on the screen. "...have we met?" he asks cautiously. "I mean-- I mean, I appreciate the offer. I really do-- we have to... we have to find some way to work with each other, help each other, but... at the moment I just got blindsided by someone I-- trusted-- sort of-- and I'm not..."
Paul trails off, so tired. He wants to sleep. Has to keep that handkerchief there though, for now.
"...no offense, but how would you do the protecting? --let me guess, you're a superhero or got magical powers or..."
OOC: I don't thiiiiink Paul and Willow ever officially met, if they did, feel free to PM and I can edit the hell outta this thing. ^__^
Paul doesn't know this voice, but he thinks in vague morbid amusement that if he'd known all it took to get a whole bunch of the people in Taxon that he hasn't yet met was to get bitten by a vampire, he'd have-- no, he wouldn't have arranged for it to happen earlier. Not worth it.
He focuses on the tablet, but there's no face to match the woman's voice.
"Thanks for asking," he says with a throat clearing. Ow. "Friend's on the way, bleeding seems to've stopped. Have we met, miss?"
Paul had started to close his eyes-- he opens them again, focuses on the tablet.
"Doctor Jones," he rasps. "Birdhouse. The structure I was..." he trails off, starts laughing a bit, just a touch hysterically, and has to grind down on that before he can continue.
"...the structure I was trying to fortify against vampires. Ugh. Just.... I'm on the map, you'll see me."
And Paul wearily pushes his tablet at Cain or at Jenny, because he just wants to close his eyes and sleep, sleep, sleep.
[OOC: Since Cain and Jenny are on scene with Paul, if you want to have Martha arrive and get into the same thread they are, it's up at top! Up to you :)]

"That depends on if they've sucked your blood and if you suck-"
Oh, wait, he doesn't want to know. Willow cuts off abruptly, looking embarrassed.
"Do you need someone to come over there to help? Maybe clean up a-and protect you?" And make sure he doesn't die of blood loss.

Do me a favor and eat something, all right? It'll help, I promise.

(His train of thought is a little punchy right this moment.)
Still, he can't help a crooked smile of response to the mothering tone the woman speaks with.
"Ma'am, yes ma'am," he says dryly. ".....deductive leap here, you've been bitten before? You said that with some authority, Sookie."
