A lot of companies use text phones, we have some facilities for it.....the only problem is it makes lengthy or complicated discussions quite long winded as some has to type what you are saying.....then the deaf customer will have to type a reply and you will be able to either read it or wait for it to be relayed to you....
I think the best idea is to use something as bog standard as MSN Messenger or something........that way you are cutting out the middle man so to speak!
