I went to this crappy little mall near my house a few days ago, and there was this nifty little used book sale going on. Bookworm that I am, I stopped and noticed they had a huge pile of Sweet Valley High books... I used to read those books when I was younger, and I was surprised to see them, so I stopped to see what else they had ( Read more... )

This entry makes me wanna run out and buy a ton of Nancy Drew books. I remember in school that's like, ALL I would read. Sadly I dont remember any of them, except for the whispering statue. ^_^

Oh my god...Sweet Valley High & the Babysitting Club were where it was all at. The Babysitting Club used to use parenthases like fiends, so I did that for about a week.

I loved the Nancy Drew books, though. I have a few of my own. I remember "The Whispering Statue" one, but I really loved Staircase and the Golden Pavilion ones. I liked the Golden Pavilion because it was set in Hawaii and sounded really pretty. And the Velvet Mask one was good too!!! Ah, good times. That's so cool that you got an original copy.

Ironically, I was never able to read the Hardy Boys.
