Power Metal is so amazing! Its so dark and happy at the same time; so delicate and powerful. While I watch myself to make sure that I don't arbitrarily dismiss diferent genres of music and modes of experience like I did as some bitter teenager, I still have "roots" of a sort in this stuff. This is shaping up to be one of the harder weeks of the semester. Midterms, projects, Res. Life stuff and emotions all coalesce into this violent storm of agony which I'm experiencing. I'm really enjoying this wonderful thing that I've discovered , which i like to refer to as "chilling the fuck out".  I'm doing the same amount, if not more, that I was last semester, only this time I'm pretty chilled out about everything. I wouldn't go as far as to say that I don't give a shit, but generaly speaking, I don't.

So instead of getting work done for the coming week, and in the absence of projects to do, here at work, I just check facebook, myspace, livejournal and my e-mail... gah. I didn't see that coming, but being anti social is getting old :-P

I am having so much trouble concentrating today. All I can think about is one step after the other, in what order I have to get things done today. its rather frustrating. I feel like  I don't have enough time for myself between all of this, but this is my life, and I'm happier experiencing between the margins than I was when I had tons of free time ( Read more... )

I'm in one of those wonderful moods where everything is moving and intense, yet not emotionally debilitating. Such great rewards may be derived from just being alive. 

Last night, one of my favorite bands had a concert in Charlotte NC. I didn't go, because, to my knowledge, the friends I have, who were possibly going, had decided not to.
