Oh, me too! Harry calling him a coward, after what he'd just made himself do! His passion there reminded me so much of his dummy spit at the end of PoA - it was Snape with his feelings out of control, which is always a really, really telling thing. That duel with Harry at the end, where he stopped the others from hurting Harry. And even then he was throwing out advice to Harry - to close his mind! Honestly, I just wish Harry would get a clue without Snape having to die in the cause - which I think he will. *sigh*
It's so good being able to discuss the book with other like-minded people. I've had a lot of my ideas reaffirmed, and been introduced to different thoughts as well.
I loved Snape much more after this book, and was really surprised to see people devastated because he was so evil!
His feelings for Harry are there for us to see - the way he was teaching Harry when Snape himself was almost at his last tether, and the way he was still protecting him when his own world was shot to pieces. As a devoted Snarry lover, I'm not upset. I'm sure there are some clever writers out there who can pick these things up and run with them.

Exactly! It's beautiful. JK couldn't have given us a better gift *g*.
I confess, I was suppressing laughter during the scene where Dumbledore's drinking the potion in the cave. I am a bad, bad girl. But then, let's take another look at some quotes, shall we?
"... don't like ... want to stop ..." moaned Professor Dumbledore.
"No, no, no ... no ... I can't ... I can't, don't make me, I don't want to ..."
"It's all my fault, all my fault," he sobbed, "please make it stop, I know I did wrong, oh, please make it stop and I'll never, never again ..."
"Please, please, please, no ... not that, not that, I'll do anything ..."
"I want to die! I want to die! Make it stop, make it stop, I want to die!"
"Oh, groaning and clanking up on the Astronomy Tower, it's a, favorite pastime of his -"
I forgot who they were talking about -- Dumbledore, I think -- but my first thought was that they were talking about him. And yes, I did splutter a bit...

Honestly, that scene was a dream come true. Bloody brilliant bit of clue throwing, with Harry being clueless as ever.
It's his one real, persistant flaw, to misunderstand Snape. And to deny that he admires him. It's the crux of the series.
