a question of honor

Sometimes I can be pretty archaic, and I think one of the ways I am archaic is my code of honor. I believe my (and my fiance's) honor has been called into question by a friend (a friend he has done much for), this angers me (it irks my fiance, but he does not feel as angry as I do). B. met F. through us, they became friends, but things went sour really quickly (long story). We stayed out of it and remained friends with both. A few weeks after their friendship blew up, B.'s house was robbed. She didn't think F. and her boyfriend had anything to do with it at the time, both thieves witnessed by a neighbor were male in a white truck, neither of the men looked like F's boyfriend. F.'s boyfriend does have white truck and I guess suspicion arose again.

Last time we were over at B.'s (last Friday), the subject of theft came up again. It's not a fun thing to talk about, so we looked awkward, according to B.'s husband, we apparently looked "guilty" like we knew something or were somehow involved. We have told them we know nothing. Thus, I feel mine (and Rich's) honor has come into question. It does not make me happy. Especially after Rich has bent over backward to help B. out after her surgeries, taking her to the ER for migraines and being her guinea pig for her psych homework.
