Dream Theater; Completely out of touch with good music or are they so far advanced with their musical technicality that it doesn't really matter?

They are actually less pretentious than some other prog bands out there. Plus, listening to the newer stuff, I think they are out of touch. They have been less progressive and are seemingly more hard rock, which does not work well for them.

That is hilarious. For some weird reason I can't listen to the bands albums for more than 2 minutes without throwing in the towel. Put on one of their live DVD's, I can watch it for over two hours. Go figure.
