Merry Christmas!

Dec 25, 2013 08:08

It's Christmas morning here - and I'm still the only one up (far better with  dozy teenager than an over-excited small child!). It's quite cool and a little damp - which is a relief after the draining heat of the weekend. I hope you all have a splendid day.

I hope you had a good Christmas. It's been very damp here (UK) too! Enjoy Boxing Day!

I've heard the weather for the UK. It doesn't sound to have been very pleasant. I hope you enjoyed your day.

I drove through torrential rain and about four or five floods, it was not fun, but Christmas has been great (though Doctor Who made me weep).

We have that to watch this evening. Sarah and I have been looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to seeing Peter Capaldi in the role.

Merry Christmas! I'm glad you got a break from the heat. We also enjoyed a later Christmas morning - 10:00 for gift opening. So nice to have a quiet day.

We were about 9:30. I got a mini-ipad so I can read books electronically. It does other stuff too, apparently, but my eyes glazed over when Dave tried to explain it to me.

Belated Merry Christmas, and yes, we will catch up once the immediate madness of post-Christmas sales has calmed down.

The cooler weather was nice, wasn't it - made cooking the turkey the day before a little more bearable, and you didn't mind eating hot pudding on the day. And because it wasn't beach weather, the traffic going across to my uncle and aunt was very light - normally it is stop-start bedlam as you go along the Botany Bay foreshores through Brighton Le Sands!

LOL at your reaction to the mini-iPad!! I was thinking of getting a Kindle for reading books on the go, but have decided that a mini iPad will make much more sense, because I can use it for emails and put various apps on it that might be useful when travelling. I know that it does lots of Very Useful Things, but I work on the K.I.S.S. principle so will undoubtedly only learn the basics, at least at this stage!
