Today was noteworthy because:

* It's Shrove Tuesday. I'm pretty sure I've written about it before, but I still think it's funny that we've done away with Lent in Sweden (Lutheranism and all that) but keep the eat-delicious-but-unhealthy-stuff-to-prepare-for-Lent tradition in the form of semla eating. It's all so Swedish! See, we were only 1 day early with our flag toothpicks to be celebrating an actual Swedish holiday. Maybe I'll use them again tonight!

I love Sweden and all I know about it is from my LJ friends and pop music. This monarchy story is very, very interesting and I am going to read all about it.
