I'm tired and sick (welcome back to school!), but I wanted to make sure I got this incident down before I forgot the details.

Yesterday, I had a teachable moment in which the class discussed the importance of proper spelling and grammar in all your writings, because words remain for posterity to read.

I love 'em too. That's why I'm teaching 'em all over again, having moved up to 8th grade with them. They make me laugh almost every day.

There was one kid a few days earlier who was saying that he'd changed a lot over the summer. "I've gotten bigger," he says, while directing his look down to his crotch. Just as I turn around and look at him.

I laughed so hard, I sat down at my desk, put my head down, and just let the tears flow and my shoulders shake. He turned a lovely shade of puce with mortification that his teacher saw that... and tried to backtrack to explain, "I meant my shoulders have gotten bigger... wider... just my shoulders...."

BHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
