Ok, so total egg in the face moment. My boss was asked me if there is a central authority of English grammar and I said, "No, but most scholars refer to the Oxford English Dictionary as a resource because it has a thorough account of entomology."

Dude. I said Wonton instead of Wanton in class. My teacher made fun of me, in front of the entire 100+ class, the entire hour.

But I feel it's just a way w subliminally make people more at ease. It must be hard to interact with such amazing geniuses as we.

Well, at least wanton and won ton sounds almost the same. :)

I just get verbal diarrhea when I talk. It's a trait I just have to get over. Think before I speak. I did the same with my thesis advisor, too.

whatever yo. i pronounced "Filene's Basement" wrong yesterday. words i've mispronounced in the past also include heifer, real estate, and lingerie.

Yes and many-a comedic sketches have been written because using or pronouncing words incorrectly makes you look like a fool.
