Do you have any resumes on any of the major job sites -- ie Monster.com and their ilk? If so, do you get headhunter-y spam?

I got calls from a couple of shady places when I had my resume public on monster.com. It stopped when I fixed my account settings, though.

Did you make your resume searchable? Mine was but when I disabled that, much of the spam stopped.

I've even started getting emails from scammers who somehow infiltrate university career services.

I have even alerted career services to MLM companies on the lists, which while legal entities, I am sure they would not want to see hiring their graduates.

MLM companies piss me off the most, pretending that I submitted resumes to them and then calling me incessantly, never remembering what job I specifically "applied for" let alone when or what school I went to or where I worked previously.

Most of the crap on Monster is spam related. I prefer Craigslist and Indeed.com instead.. both won't spam you.
