I should cook more often. Not just because it will enable me to eat healthier, more satisfying foods, but also just because it gives me a sense of accomplishment - especially because, very recently, it's something I was scared to do ( Read more... )

XD Yep. Now, comes the interesting one, where you learn what stuff you have to burn to make the food properly, like onions...

You should see some of the things I've eaten as a result of trying to cook. It's an introspective moment, when you realize you are scraping charred melted cheese off the stove burner and eating it because you forgot the you need to cook a quesadilla in a pan, and you have no other food.

Hooray for you! I found a simple but wonderful truth through yoga a couple of years ago ... that in order to learn how to do something, you have to DO IT BADLY FIRST. Sometimes many times. Sometimes laughingly badly. Eventually you learn to do it better, and then you learn to do it fabulously!!
