I went to London and all I got was this lousy appendicitis

I was midway through a bucket list trip and little did I expect something new trying to kick me into the bucket. I was meant to spend a short 2 days in London town and most of my sightseeing has been of two hospitals and a cemetary. At least I got to see the 20th anniversary revival of the play Beautiful Thing before the pain became unbearable ( Read more... )

Hi Shadow, I'm certainly being treated well and supposedly in one of the best hospitals here but I wish I could say I'm continuing to see further improvement waking up this morning :(

bad luck finds you :-(
It sounds so horrible to have your vacation ruined by that damn appendix.
I don't know where in Eastern Europe you wanted to go but perhaps it's kind of good that it hit you in England. Where they speak your language. Well, sort of *g*
I wish you to become pain free soon and to be able to enjoy the rest of your vacation. *lotsahugs*

I'm definitely relieved I sought help here, although I wish I had thepsychic ability to know what the first rib pains were during my last days in Africa so I could have arranged for a much shorter flight home and be treated there with family support. Thanks for the hugs <3

I hope you've caught better breaks. I'm starting to worry about the level of recovery expected before being allowed to fly back home before potential surgery. If it means virtually no level of discomfort without pain meds then I'm not there. I'll probably see the surgeon again tmorrow.

This pain of a console won't let me open more than 1 tab and doesn't have a search button either so I'm logging in an out all over the place *grrr*
