Tonight I picked up two grocery bags full of greengage plums. I think I'm makin' some jam this weekend. You know, in all that spare time I have. Anyone want some plums? ;)
FWIW, I've joined a canning group here and been introduced to an awesome pectin - it requires almost no sugar and very little cooking time. I had an apricot jam made with it that was cooked for 5 minutes - tasted like fresh apricots. Yum! Works better then what I've tried from the grocery store. :)
