WTF is up with Labor Day

It seems the company I work for just doesnt quite get the idea behind Labor Day, at least under current custom. Who in their right mind is going to be running around looking for Computer Parts instead of attending one of the myriad BBQ's going .. at the beach... and running around on the boats. And whatever else the lucky people do on days when

Meh. Chris is at work too right now, hon, and we're counting ourselves lucky that he's getting off at 5:30 instead of his usual double. That in itself is making us festive enough to have our own little barbecue!

I get to leave at 9pm, normal hours for me today.. and no BBQ. I'm sure you know what THAT means to me :(
