At this age, it doesn't really matter. It depends on the ages and personalities a bit, though. All my graduate friends are from 23-30, but there's really no difference between the 23 year olds and the 30 year olds. But outside my friends, i've met some 25 year olds that act like 40 year olds already.

I think the important thing is that both people are at a near enough point in life. Like, if one person is looking to settle down, and the other isn't, things won't be great. But otherwise, I don't think age really matters.
