if you could change something in your everyday life, something in your city, the way something is run, etc what would it be? what really bothers you about anything?

the schools, everything about them. it's really a disgrace the way they treat education in this town. condtions are overcrowded and not conducive with learning. and the profession of teaching is probably the least respected occupation out there. no one really thinks about it but since my mom is a teacher i guess i deal with it personally. people who teach children who later go on to high paying careers shouldn't be so underpaid. or maybe that's just my opinion.

ha i hope that wasn't annoying? ♥

ugh, no it was great! just.. the school system here isn't really all that bad =\
president bush came here my freshman year and spoke to us about it, and how we are one of the best high schools in the nation. haha. but yeah.. i guess i kind of forget that most people don't have what i've had. teachers really deserve a lot more than they get, i agree.
thank you though :]

if i could change something, i'd change school semesters. i'd have year round school with a two week break every six weeks.

don't know how it is where you live, but the schools in/around chicago are so overcrowded, almost 1,000 kids in every grade and usually about 40 in every classroom. i can never get questions answered or feel like i am receiving one-on-one help. so, that is something that needs to be taken into consideration ( ... )

i think minneapolis is a scaled down version of chicago. we have the thousand-classes but usually only like 32 kids. 40 is horrible=\ are you allowed to have backpacks?

i get what you mean :[ grading on exact accuracy does take out the fun. but ive kind of learned that it doesn't always matter if you'll never use this math equation in your life, you still need to learn it to get by in the class, so you get get on with your life and then do what you want. thats just for main courses i guess. but yeah.. it shouldnt be that way. i just dont know how i would say that to a schoolboard member or something?

no problem, i read it all :] thank you

in my old french class we had a student teacher of sorts and her name was mindy plant and it was pretty funny because she sat in the back corner, right next to "la plante" and that was a really pointless story but maybe you'll find it amusing.
if i could change one thing in my life it would be that i lived in an actual city. and that i didn't get headaches every day, that would be nice too. but overall, i am pretty much head-over-heels in love with my life. i guess that doesn't have anything to do with government does it? hmm. the highways in my area are awful. i would definitely change that.
