one of my bosses at work was walking around talking to one of the checkers, and as i was walking by, i noticed he was saying something in reference to one of the magazines on the shelves.. (if any of you know by now, lance bass came out and there's a People magazine that says blatantly "I'M GAY" on it) ..and i knew he was talking about that one

The guy who did that is an asshole, plain and simple.

you need to accept in yourself that the person with a problem there is Him, not you. All it says about him is that he is grade A fuckwit, and doesn't deserve your respect.
There will aways be people watching us (general sense, not us gays or us guys or us semi-intellectuals or whatever). So who cares? You can never escape being seen, and being watched by people. So what you do is start judging them. and practise putting on an expression something like you'd pull when your dog lets go a really feral fart, because that expression is what most of the people who "watch" deserve
