Address Book on Linux?

For a third time, I find that a piece of OSX software has no Linux equivalent. The first time this happened, it was Quicktime Pro (now the mencoder/h264 quality and performance are better on Linux), the second time it was Keynote (there are Linux equivalents, but Keynote was just easier), and now it is Address Book. Have you tried the mozilla options - either thunderbird or seamonkey ?

Oh, needs to print envelopes ... that might take a bit more doing...

I might be willing to suspend my desire to print envelopes if the software allows me to import my vcards with all of my notes (which I hope Apple didn't support with a non-standard vcard format).

Does Thunderbird allow me to have an addressbook without linking the software to an e-mail account? I'd use Evolution if the setup didn't force me to link an e-mail account.
