My shortest (and best) Field Service TAP ever

"Investigate server shaped brick."

Really. I have absolutely NOTHING to go on with this case. AT ALL. That is honestly the best I can do with this one :(

*snerks* My guess is that said server died (or they think it did, anyway), and is currently no more useful than a brick.

No one knows ANYTHING. The server is in the UK, the support guys are in India, and I'm in the US.

There will be no duck row getting on this one, no there will not.

At least it's more informative than the "do the needful" requests I occasionally get.

God I only wish It were ever that simple :)

Most of our machines have at ~least~ N+1 Power Redundancy (this particular machine is N+2), so with very rare exceptions, a single PSU failure will never take a machine down.

I haven't checked up on the case lately (I have 50+ cases in my queue ATM), so I don't know what the outcome of the Field visit was yet.

ETA - just checked the Update from the FE. Their OS blew up. He configured the ILOM, and booted the machine fine from a Suse image.

They jailbreaked the server and brick:ed it? ;-)
