The book starts in boston commons, and what occures is that some sort of unexplained 'pulse' goes out... and it causes everyone with a cell phone, who's on the phone, or who answers the phone, to basically turn into homicidal zombies.
contrary to most of his works, which usually have a 200/300/400 page lead up, violence commenses on page 8. it's a great book, and a very neat twisted hommage to john romero.
and eli roth is directing the film.
my 'other' and I have outstanding plans to murder him.
