Are you reading this because you want to or because you think you should?
I began reading because I thought I should, to be fair, to not skip a post. I continued reading past the first few lines because it interested me enough to keep going, and I'm commenting because I didn't want to leave with nothing said. :)
Honestly, I felt that I should read as much as I can, out of respect for my competitors. However, whether I'll be able to continue to do so?? I do not know.
I know the feeling about caring too much and getting hurt. But I guess I keep trying. both in online life and in non I have met some honestly caring people and I'm luckier for that!
Some could say that I hide behind my computer, but that's before they realize that I spend 9-10 hours a day alone at home with no car or phone and no way to interact with others other than the computer. ;)
While I think a lot of what you are saying is true, (particularly how people don't know how to communicate well anymore due to technology,) there is a danger of becoming bitter towards people...particularly in the on line sub culture we have. People generally mean well I think, it is just that the internet is, by its nature, a wall inbetween people who might otherwise be good friends.
