*Spoilers* Jeff Davis said Derek is a hubris, and will be (I think he said) humbled by the end of the season because Derek isn't quite ready to be an Alpha (though thinks he is). I'm jumping to things like death (considering the hunters). So, Derek falls pretty hard and blames himself for his decisions. Jackson's derailed too and is left pretty much alone. Derek encounters him and realizes he's not lost everything.

Saying that there's too much Derek/Stiles is telling it like it is? Really? There are fans devoted to Derek/Stiles that treasure every new and old piece of fanwork given to the fandom, just as you probably like to see Derek/Jackson fanwork. Just because our pairing has more works doesn't mean we don't deserve new material and/or don't deserve the material we already have. And being rude about it isn't the way to go about gaining more works for your pairing, anon.

I /like/ Derek/Stiles and I can't believe that there are people getting butthurt over you saying that there's too much of it. It dominates the fandom, so it's understandable that people would get frustrated with that, especially on a show like Teen Wolf that has such a large cast and so much different possibilities for pairings. The poster was just expressing frustration, not trying to take anything away from you.

(OP here) very true. I wish more people were multi shippers because a lot of the other ships become overshadowed :/ if we embrace more of the other ships even if we have an OTP then there'd be more love to go around (ya know?)

Not part of this previously but I just want to say that I *am* surprised at the amount of Derek/Stiles being prompted at this kink-meme. Usually at other fandoms with a predominant pairing, ppl jump at the chance to prompt other pairings at memes.

I'm certainly not complaining though, but do give it some time. Season 2 has just started so there would hopefully be more interesting interactions between other characters. Sterek is really shiny but other pairs have potential too and ppl might warm up to them with some time. In the meantime, I guess Sterek has taken hold of most's minds, so just. Wait it out?

I don't think the anons who got upset were saying that the poster was taking anything away from them--- they just seemed upset about the way it was phrased? Which I don't blame them for, since I personally found it very annoying. And people who don't ship Sterek often seem to have an attitude of 'people should be writting more fics for MY ship' which is getting on my nerves. Write what you want and let other people write what THEY want. Don't act wronged just because the fandom isn't going the way you want it to.
