I just watched the most amazing documentary from the 70s. It was about the game cricket, as played by the Trobriand islanders in Papua-New Guinea. It’s a highly formalized way of making war for them. It was on some public channel, one of the two PBS affiliates. The show was an old 70s program called "THE CULTURES OF THE WORLD" or something very similar.
