I don't think you really begin to appreciate what Google Street View is all about until you see your own house (and any other landmarks in your particular city) in clear view.
... I'll admit, I'm a bit weirded out. The "this is so freaking cool" thoughts are winning out at the moment, though. -

My coworkers are weird
"Global warming is bad, but who cares?" has got to be one of the strangest arguments I've ever heard.
The other person arguing with him isn't doing a good job coming up with counter-arguments, though. I'm almost tempted to chime in. Almost. -

... what. the. hell. did I just watch?
I think the Internet changed my experience of watching this dramatically. The anime is eerie enough as it is, without knowing there will be gratuitous violence later on.
So far, though, I really like it. Just the right blend of cute and creepy. -
Linuxing it up
After trying to get Linux and ATI to play nicely together for probably over a dozen times (all of which ended in ATI crashing the system when it tried to do anything related to 3D acceleration), I finally managed to get Linux to work.
By buying a damned nVidia card.
