I have the sneaking suspicion that this curse is going to be one of the ones that we talk about, later, in some type of reverence-stained horror. "Oh, well, is wasn't as bad as the witch trials curse." or "It couldn't be as bad as that candied hearts business." Because your attention spans are too short to hold anything less than a comparison.

I've seen far too many civilizations fall because of negligence and petty feuds to put much stock in you people, it's probably why I've never been one for politics. That, and I think I got quite enough of it in Rome.
