Last Thursday or so, Economics was interrupted for a mandatory Exit Interview presentation in the library. It consisted of a couple of speakers giving insightful speeches on what our life will be like outside in the real world. An army recruiter spoke first. I missed most of his speech, since I was physically and mentally late to the presentation. ( Read more... )

I watched that Sparks DVD yesterday afternoon!

I'm glad the job market's so sucky. If it wasn't, I'd probably have to move out and be independent.

My favorite part is when Ron Mael levitates his illegitimate son. I'm not really watching the DVD, I just dubbed the DVD onto an audio CD. It's a superb concert, though not too extravagant.

She forgot to mention janitors as an exciting job opportunity, since it is in quite high demand.

That actually reminded me of the graduation from a tech school that my friend Jon from the band House of Wires was graduating from. The main speaker said things like,"Although the job market is very competitive, and jobs are scarce here in California,we know this was life experience!"And so on!
They basically said,"You got something from us,but it won't help out there!"Totally jacked speech!I was sitting there thinking,"This is not encouraging!"
But all in all,the way I see it,is you will find any number of things they can't ever predict.I mean,Matt Groening drew the simpsons on a napkin and handed it to someone, because he didn't have anything else to give when asked at a job.I know anything is possible out there,so I ignore the bunk otherwise.:)

Yes. :) I bet that's what the speakers at the main speaker's graduation said. They don't want anyone to get the cool jobs! :-p
