Hoo-rah! It's my birthday!

My birthday gift from the Monroe County Democrats?

Not submitting my voter registration form that I filled out over four months ago.

Which means: I can't vote tomorrow.

Possibly the biggest event to hit my generation (yes, this is in fact bigger than Furby), and I will be unable to participate in it.

Mother. Fuck.

Oh fuck. I'm sorry. It seems like there as GOT to be something that can be done you know? That's just not right.

Yeah, it isn't right. But this is Indiana. Wise decisions don't happen here.

At the very least, now I know to make a bigger stink about doing same-day registration and voting. Now...to figure out who to make a stink to about it. I suppose my local congressional representative...

Seems to me your only other option is to go back to Marion County to vote? Unless you weren't registered there before. I know that's what Isaac and Mel did.

You can request a form at the voting location so you can still vote... Then when they realize you DID register, your vote will count....

GO VOTE!!!!!!

ps I can't remember the specific name for the form, but I saw it on the news and they suggested it to people with your problem.

That's called a provisional ballot. However, that only applies if the paperwork got lost, but was scrounged up past the registration cut-off date; they always date the forms when they're submitted, so it would still be viable for a late turn-in. However, I called the Monroe County Democrats, and they said they had NO copies of the registration form I filled out whatsoever, and thus nothing I could submit late. The only way I'd be able to vote today is if this state did same-day registration/voting.

Hey don't feel bad. I can't vote either. It sucks. At least in my case, it really wouldn't have mattered if I voted because I wasn't voting for Obama or McCain though. Happy Birthday anyway! I know it's belated...but dammit I try!
