I was out sick yesterday. Instead of reading the two books on marriage, sex, and family in the pre-Modern era in Britain and the two books on women's participation in the Civil Rights movement that I have to write papers on, I watched a shitload of movies and tv.

I'm all caught up on Pushing Daisies, House, Bones, Reaper, Earl, Heroes, and Chuck.

As a "staying home sick" expert, let me just say that watching tv and movies all day is a perfectly acceptable use of time.

I was not a fan of Jarhead. My best friend (you've met him) loved it, and thought it was incredibly accurate and realistic, based on his experiences as a Marine. I liked that part, but since he and I were a couple when he went into the Marines, I over-identified with the Kristina story-line, and it made me feel really guilty and uncomfortable.

But yeah, Jake was pretty.
