And I have the burn to prove it. Memorial Day weekend was our first official holiday in the new place, so we went fishing Monday in the pond out back (the property has a stocked pond with bass and bream, along with peach trees, satsuma trees, a Myer lemon tree and kumquat trees). New place
Officially in the new place, which is a double wide trailer on three acres. We moved out of a 2600 sq ft, 4 bdrm, 2 1/2 bath brick home, and I have absolutely no regrets about it. We plan on doing some upgrades on the trailer, like pulling up carpet and putting down a laminate wood floor, and putting down tile in the bathroom and kitchen, as well ( Read more... ) -
Moving
So, for the past week we've been moving stuff over to the new place. We had let our landlord know we were leaving last week. He agreed to let us do our own repairs in leu of paying rent this month. Nothing was ever discussed about a deadline for being out of the house ( Read more... ) -

Noticed I've been having an all too familiar tightness in my lower back again as well as the twinges that accompany them. I'm only a year or so out of my back surgery and while it was an out patient procedure, not something I really want to have to do again. Iron Man 3 woot-woot!
Pre-ordered tickets for Iron Man 3 in 3D today for Saturday night, mainly because I don't have a guarantee that I'd get off work in time to make it to the Friday showing, and Erich wants to avoid the crowd...Yhea, we're officially old now :p -

Looks like I need to update things a bit. I was actually amazed that more people hadn't unfriended me here given my disappearing act. But having an Ipad now means I can blog from wherever, including my armchair. I just really have to update this place... O.o -
