Don't blink.

Too often we take for granted those things that surround us each and every day. The people we talk to, the touches we cherish, the smiles that light up our life and the laughs that make us feel truly joyous from the tip of our toes to the tops of our heads. We don't think that the next day those people might not be there - we don't even think 10 ( Read more... )

Wow, this is so sad. It's strange... how can I say this the correct way? When the guys are in Iraq, it's not like you expect something bad could happen, but it's more understandable. But when they're state-side, you don't expect something to happen while they're just doing their normal job duties. Does that make sense? I hope that didn't sound really bad.

This is a really poignant entry, though, and I really identified with it because Steven and I are going through some problems right now (it has to do with me, mainly) and I don't know where I stand right now. Life is so confusing and difficult and hard.

Poor Amber. The good news is that at least there are plenty of people to support her as she struggles through this difficult time.

I know exactly what you are trying to say.. It's the same thing I said to Jason last night. When they are in Iraq at least they have died for a reason.. for fighting for their country, even if it's a stray bullet that gets them or a mine.. At home though.. gah.

I hear you on life and you know I'm always around if you need to talk too. It's not just a one way street thing. :) I may play a lot of WoW but my friends are more important than that. :)

I hope Amber goes to some meetings and listens to what people have to say. I know right now it's probably impossible but in a couple weeks it could do her some good. Last night she wasn't hearing anything, I don't think. :(

Wow I must say I'm very sorry for your Husband loss and everything. This was a very great post. I wish many more people could read it. You spoke the words so beautiful and everything. This is all very true. You have to cherish the days you have with the ones you love and show them. You have to live everyday like it's your last and enjoy things and you friends. This post was beautiful yet sad. Hang in there and I pray for you, your family and your friends family. You are all in my prayers. God bless!

Thanks hun! :)

It's me, Whitney. That's terribly sad, and I couldn't imagine getting that kind of news at work! Makes you scared to answer your phone I'm sure. You still haven't added my new name lady! We should talk, there is so much I've got to fill you in on.

He meant for the best. He just wanted to get to her before the "Officials" did.

And I didn't know it was you, silly! Last I knew you lived in TEXAS, not Hawaii!! =P Everytime I tried to talk to you yesterday you kept disappearing. What's up? :o
