Really drinking the Kool-Aid: taking the Paleo plunge

So, as part of the whole Crossfit thing, if you're really serious, you're supposed to be doing a diet called Paleo, or Caveman diet, which is lots of lean meat, veggies, fruits, and nuts. No dairy, no legumes (including peanuts and soy), as little salt as possible, no sugar, no potatoes, and above all, no grains (psst..it's gluten-free too). Just ( Read more... )

Matt wanted us to start the Paleo diet, but I would miss cheese and rice. However there are whole websites of paleo recipes and I did try out one for a roasted chicken and apples...it was in fact very tasty.

So far it's been OK. I notice that I'm not hungry as much, which is great and that my energy level has evened out. Cooking for dinner is the easiest. Breakfast is a little more challenging...

Yeah, it's my one and only daily Paleo cheat: coffee with non-dairy creamer and 3 sugar cubes.
