Yea, it's usually only me and Matt who post still from AMC (with Steve once and awhile).
I know what you mean about missing AMC. I really miss doing the projection work and wish I could get back into it, but since I had to leave AMC so abruptly I'd never have a good reference to get into another place :(
Oh man! you guys must be die hard livejournal fans! If you left AMC you should still put them as a reference. All they can confirm is that you did in fact work there from this time to this time.
Yea, I stick around because this is the main posting place for my girlfriend and sister, with an occasional post from some other people. They both are also on Facebook but FB doesnt really have that journal-style to it....
I have AMC on my resume mostly to show I was working during that period and as an eye-catcher for the interviewers. Pretty much every job I've interviewed for asked me questions about what its like being a projectionist. The thing with references is they cant say anything bad about you, but callers can usually feel out the manager's thoughts on the employee by asking certain questions like "Would you take this employee under consideration for re-hire" to which they could say "no". Then again, I don't even know if anyone we worked with is still at Tyngsboro anymore. Every time I go I don't run into anyone I knew.
I'd love to get back into projection work though. The new theater in merrimack has terrible projectionists!
