~The Questions~
In your own words, describe what a rival is to you: A rival is someone who is at nearly the same level as I am, someone I want to defeat in order to be number 1. And if I can't defeat him/her, then I'd work super hard in order to do so. Also, I think between rivals there is always that mutual envy.
Personality-wise, what do and don't you like in a person? I don't like when people are fake AT ALL. I'd rather become friends with a b**** than become friends with someone who is internally a b**** but acts like a sweet heart. I don't like stubborn people, probably because I'm really stubborn, myself. I don't like rude people who think they're better than everyone else when they're not (if they are, then that's a different story). I do like nice people who can make me laugh and will do crazy stuff with me. I like people who don't try to go against me; I think I like followers and not leaders. I like people with a passion, but a passion for something different than my own.
What kind of person can you see as a good rival? truthfully, Me+rival=not good. There wouldn't be a good relationship at all. I'd rather have someone think I'm there rival rather than the opposite. But, I guess...someone who will push my to strive for the best influence me in ways that can make me a better and stronger person.
What things are you physically and mentally good at? physically, I have a high tolerance for pain. I don't like it at all, but in most cases I can stand it. I'm pretty energetic most of the time and I'm good at sprinting. When I put my mind on something, I can usually do it! So i guess, mentally, if I'm prepared, I can handle (almost =P) anything.
What things are you physically and mentally not good at? physically, I don't like running. I can, but I hate it with a passion...I get tired easily, so lack of endurance. mentally, i'm not good at thinking positively. my mood affects everything. if i'm happy and thinking positively, good things happen, but when i'm pessimistic and in a bad mood, it shows through in every little thing that i do.
Using tennis as a example:
a) How would you react if you had to work with someone you considered a rival in a doubles game between (say) the Golden Pair? "*sigh* okayy..." inwardly: ASLDKISJDKSGS
but if i view them as a rival, then they must be pretty darn good right? So I think we'd have a chance and I'd work just as hard to beat whoever we're put up against.
b) How would you react/feel if you lost to your rival in a singles game? I wouldn't really show that I'm extremely upset (which i would be) to my rival. but once I got home or away from the courts, I would rant and rant and vent out all my frustration until I get annoyed with myself, then I'd just listen to some music to calm down. But then, I'd probably get over it really quickly.
