I emailed Iris to remind her that we're going to Kung Fu tonight, and since she'd forgotten I asked if she wanted me to bring a sports bra. In response, gmail gave me lots of ads relating to ladies' underwear.

One of them was for this not very work-safe page. 20 pieces of worn underwear for £25! How can they sell it so cheaply? (I charge more for ( Read more... )

Part of me says this is a little too far beyond going to the thrift (charity) shop for some wardrobe updates.

Another part of me says at $5 per pair of pants and $15-$20 for a bra brand new...this is not an awful idea...after a couple of washings with boiling hot water and bleach. Getting the parcel in the mail and opening it though, might make for an unpleasant experience.

Am I missing something, or wouldn't it be a simple thing to have them at least put the items through a cold water wash before sending them out?

Yeah, you're missing something. They're catering to a market that prefers worn underwear, that's why the cheapness really surprised me.
