Well, I've made it through the first 3 days of August with nary a scratch. Yeah I'm a little sore from Wednesday volleyball, but that's a good thing. I even survived getting up at 6:30am for the first time in FOREVER to go give a placement test to students at RMU as a favor for a colleague. Wonder if August will be better
Well, after the July that I had (which sucked, in case people didn't know), I'm hoping that August will be a lot better. I have noticed that July made me a little more bitter than my nature normally allows, which is sad. Perhaps my disposition will improve as the month moves on. Well, the likelihood of that is small, but that song just popped into my head for no apparent reason. Go figure! Anyways, only a few minor updates this week:

I love volleyball
I've been a slacker for like 3 weeks about playing my weekly volleyball at the Sewickley YMCA. We play 2 nights a week, Mondays and Wednesdays. As you know, I was teaching basic algebra on Monday nights this summer for 8 weeks, so I couldn't play then. I was having no motivation to show up for Wednesday nights either...ugh. Well, at least some things went right yesterday....after noticing that my other headlight was now out (you know, this is really getting annoying...), I was able to go to Kmart, pick up another H7 headlight, and came home and replaced them myself. Am I bitter? July 2007 edition...
You know, I do really try to keep complaining to a minimum...keep it to myself...or at least make jokes about it. But you know, this month from hell (i.e., July 2007), just does not seem to be letting up. I guess I should start with last Monday...
