Ever since Jun let down his pride and made friend with the class cleverest kid, Ikuta Toma, a.k.a “Toma-kun”, they had been spending lots of time together. Well, it’s only studying and it was Toma who asked him out in the first place. At first, Jun’s motives were to learn how he could score so well for exams. However he found out, he was smart in the first place, and he had ways to simplify the steps. He’s born genius.
“Matsumoto-kun!”
Jun was walking out of the school when he saw his friend, or he would like to call “study buddy”, waving at him.
“Didn’t I told you before? Call me Jun.” Jun pushed his fallen strain of hair up.
“Ah! I forget. Jun, where are you going?”
“Probably studying a little while before going for band practices.”
Jun had told him before that he was in a band with Nino and Aiba. Toma was surprised in the first place. Toma had mentioned that his parents were strict and won’t allow him to do such things.
They walked a distance before Toma halted. “Do you want to come over to my house?”
Jun stopped too. “Huh?”
“To my house?”
“And?” Jun had this weird feelings that it wasn’t going to be that simple, since Toma was fidgeting a lot.
“Study together…” he ruffled his own hair. “And play together?”
It’s not that he had never went to his house to study. But his fidgets and weird actions showed that he had something more.
“Okay.. Since I still have the time…”

They took a bus to Toma’s house. He lived in a small mansion, 2 stories high. It's way smaller than Jun’s house of course. There’s a small garden that Toma planted for his experiments. Inside the house, it was neat and clean. The living room was quite big, and spacious. The kitchen was at the right, and beside it was a flock of stair to the 2nd floor. There were 4 rooms on the 2nd floor, including a study room for him. They went to the study room, while Toma went back to the kitchen to get some snacks. Toma had a younger brother, and Jun had seen him before. He sort of resemble like Toma, but a little more dorky.
“Where’s your brother?” Jun sat on the chair that was prepared for him.
Toma was walking in with tray of biscuits and 2 cups of fruit juice.“He had school activities and won’t be back until 6.”
“Aren’t we going to study? What’s with all the food here?” Jun grabbed a biscuit and put it in his mouth.
“We are going to study… What do you want to do first?”
“How about Chemistry? I’m quite weak at the chemical equations…”
They began discussing the chemical equations, and how to use it. Since Toma was really good at it and could teach well, Jun understood it fast and clear. It was only a hour and Jun was already getting hang of it.
“you are really good!” Jun stretched his arms high. “I thought I would be stuck at this for the next few days…”
“No really… You are a fast learner, Jun!”
“You are a good teacher, to be honest. Nino tried to teach me this, but his way of teaching doesn’t suits me…” Jun sighed when he remembered how Nino love to use women as an example to teach.
Toma laughed, and later Jun joined in.
“Hey Jun…”
“What is it?” Jun was still giggling a little.
“Do you believe that Love is part of chemistry?”
“Huh? Silly.. Love is a feeling, and will just make people go crazy for it.” Jun snorted. His bestfriends were the victim of love.
Toma then stood up and walked to his large book shelves. He grabbed a book and went back to Jun.
“See, I found this book. I bought this from a flea market”
“ "Chemistry of love"? Are you sure this isn't a hoax?”
Toma pursed his lips. “Well, I don’t know… but it say lots of things inside. Like why our heartbeat raced… “ he looked at Jun “when we see someone we love…”
Jun looked back at him. Toma’s face was quite near to his, and was staring hard at him. All of the sudden, he felt his heartbeat pounding faster. His face felt some heat and his body was feeling warm and uneasy.
“oi…” his vision went back to the book. His face showed a faint red blush.
“Jun, have you been in love before?”
“Eh? Love…I…I…”
You may think that this popular guy had so many dates, but the fact was, he’s single and never fell in love before. He never play with girls, unlike his friend. And most importantly, he’s a virgin.
“Have you?”
“I…I…” he then frown his brow, “Why are you asking this?”
Toma pouted. “I don’t know… I just want to know…”
“Are.. are you in love?” A very silly question, Jun thought after he asked.
Toma rested head on his palm while the elbow was on the table, supporting his head. He gazed at Jun again and nodded his head lightly with a smile.
Jun perked up. “Oh, so who is that lucky one? How does she looks like?”
Toma let out a laughter. “Well, princess-like. Smart. A little bossy, but is caring.” Toma’s glaze went to Jun’s eyes. “Beautiful eyes. ” and then to his nose “ A little pointy nose…” and then to his lips “a cute pouty lips…”
Jun saw his eyes moved around his face. He was looking at him and probably comparing to his crush. But Toma’s eyes… it showed something more….
“Is it?” Jun scratched his head. “I got to know this one who caught your heart!”
“You already know the person…”
Jun’s eyes widened. “Is that so? From our class?”
It was from their class. He was trying to recall all the girls in class when Toma got nearer to him. Jun looked at him in surprised when their face were so near. Jun retracted a little, yet Toma got even closer.
“To..toma?”
Slowly, Toma leaned forward and gave Jun a light kiss on his lips before withdrawing back a little. Jun gasped when he felt that pair of lips on his. His first kiss was gone just like this...
Toma’s eyes never left him. “Jun, I love you…”
“What?!” Jun raised his voice a little.
“I know it’s wrong, but I can’t stop my feelings for you… This is my first time having such a strong feeling… I even thought that I was sick, but it wasn’t… it’s because of you, my heart raced. It’s because of you, my words became unclear. It’s because of you, my body react weirdly…”
Toma confessed, leaving Jun all shocked. He wasn’t sure what he need to say, since it was his first time too.
"I..I..."
“Jun… I really love you…”
This time, Jun didn’t move back. Toma moved closer to Jun. He shut his eyes, and felt the same lips topped on his.
He smelled nice and sweet… Jun thought.
Their head tilted for a better angle. They remained there for a while before Jun pushed him away.
“Toma…” he whispered with his hand still on Toma. “ I need time…”
Immediately, he stood up and took his bag. He took a quick glance at Toma before leaving with his racing heart and burning face.
For 2 nights after the kiss incident, Jun hadn’t had a proper sleep. Everytime he closed his eyes, the images of Toma kissing him appeared. And it made him feel so uneasy.
He had given thoughts for it. He couldn’t figure out his feelings too, but he knew he couldn’t just leave Toma alone. He felt sad when Toma said he wasn’t free. He wanted to study with him always. He wanted to be the one that Toma smiled at when he scored well.
“Arg!!” Jun pulled his pillow on top of his head.
Tomorrow, he would tell him about it. He need to settle it.

Jun waited at the rooftop for Toma. He had called him up there and he would speak to him about what he felt.
“Jun…”
Here I go… Jun chanted in his heart, while the other ran towards him.
“Hi..” Jun fidgeted around. “ How are you?” he was stiff, very.
“Fine? We saw each other like 2 day ago?” Toma answered.
“Ya! I remembered… Ha ha ha…” even his laughter was fake.
“Jun, cut the crap…”
Jun’s smile faded slowly. He looked at Toma, “Toma, there is something I want to tell you…”
Toma took a swallow of his saliva. He must be anxious for his answer.
“I don't know about us… But I know that, when I think about books, I always want to share with you… When I saw your smiling face, it makes my heart flutter. When you praises me, my heart was singing in joy. When I think about who to be with, it was you who appear in my mind…” Jun frowned and looked at the floor . “I don’t know what all this means… No one taught me how to react to such feelings… no one taught how to control these feelings…”
Suddenly, he felt a pair of hands holding his. He turned his head and saw Toma smiling widely.
“Isn’t this clear? You are in love with me…”
“Eh? Love?”
“You love me and you don’t know about it? You are just the cutest guy I had ever met!” Toma laughed.
“This is love?” Jun questioned again.
“Yes my boy…” Toma replied. “ Finally I get to know your feelings… I’m happy…”
Jun smiled. He was happy too, though he still had questions about it.
“I love you, Jun. Will you be mine?”
“Yours? But I don't know what to do…”
“It’s okay… I will teach you, like I always do…”
Toma stepped a foot forward. His face was near Jun again, and Jun stepped back a little. His face was stiffed, so as his body.
“Relax Jun… Look at me”
Jun did what he was told. He looked at Toma and was much more comfortable and calm. Toma then wrapped his arms around Jun’s waist. He leaned his face forward and planted his soft lips on Jun’s.
He then withdrew and smiled at his blushing lover.
“See you did it…”
“Right…” Jun pouted when Toma gave a fast peck on it. “Hey…”
“Lunch?”
Jun pushed him away as he walked to the door. “Your treat!”
“Alright, my princess!”

Behind the pillar
“I told you! Jun is in love! And I knew it was Toma-kun!” Nino exclaimed as watched his friend from the behind the pillar.
“We shouldn’t be doing this! If Jun found out, he’s going to kill us!” Aiba stood behind his friend.
“It’s okay! They are leaving, and we saw a great show just now!”
Suddenly, Nino felt his phone vibrating in his pocket. He took it out and saw a cute message from his cute teacher.He smiled to it before turning back to Aiba.
“Sorry Aiba-chan, I need to go now?... Where the hell are you?! “
Aiba was already long gone.
