None of you paid attention to what I said

Nov 03, 2004 20:01

Look, I was not saying that people can't bitch about Bush winning. They can bitch all they want about that, I couldn't give a shit. What I said is that I'm sick and tired of people saying I should just leave the country because Bush was elected. THAT is what pissed me off.

well, thats because they were being killed and had a clear view of hitler's agenda, on top of that he was in power indefinitely, this is just 4 years, we hope.

all i hope, is that he looks back on the last four years, realizes how much he fucked up, and fixes it. Get us out of iraq, kill bin laden, fix the economy, get our jobs back, close the borders a little and dont let as many people in.

lower healthcare costs before my parents lose theirs, and in turn i lose mine, find a better fuel source than oil (i hear they are making advancements with algae and waste water...)

allow embryotic stem cell research in hopes of finding ways to help the sick, dying and cripple, and realize that he needs to research things on his own and find out the truth behind them and not put any spin on them so he can have his way.

we are the united states of america, and we're divided over this, perhaps kerry and he were not the right choices for candidates.

The point stands that it is not universally foolish to wish to leave one's country on account of the leadership in power.

i had a reply, but my browser timed out and i forgot it.

i do remember i wanted to leave these for you to think about:

"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence in their behalf." -An unknown, but very astute person

"Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing." - R. E. Howard

Bush has our best interests in mind, at least, what he thinks are our best interests. they may or may not be, but remember, he's just a dumb human like the rest of us. i mean, the man almost died being an american watching the game, drinking beer and eating pretzels...

4 more years, and he'll be gone... 4 more years...

All I know is that there hasn't been an attack since September 11, 2001...and I blame Bush for protecting us. Damn him!

but at the same time you cant forget there are issues on the inside and should deal with them as they arise.

our national airline security is in the hands of the lowest bidder... which scares me.

I know... my cousin and my friend are pretty heated with me right now lol... well... not so much, but they say they are :P

We all voted for who we believed in and that's what should matter. Win or lose, there will always be another election and a new group of clowns to bash and support >=D

Now if you excuse me, I have some groveling to do to win their favor again :P

Leaving the country??? princesstinann November 4 2004, 08:07:01 UTC
I'll admit that I voted for Kerry, but that doesnt mean that I would leave my country. I hope that everyone else that voted for Kerry also watched his concession speech. Because if you believed in his words before the election, you should still believe in them now. If you say you want to leave the country now, you should have never voted in the first place, and you should have been out of here a long time ago, maybe you should be on the next flight to Iraq, or Korea, or Iran, or anyplace else for that matter, but NOT HERE, not with that attitude!

I'll admit that I voted for Bush. I know some people have their opinions about Bush, and really I was more or less picking the worse of the two evils. I didn't really want Bush to win, and I didn't really want Kerry to win, but throughout the whole debate and everything that was said, I never felt that Kerry ever came up with an original idea that was actually able to be done. I am more proud that we had a somewhat good turn out to the polls and it wasn't a long drawn out thing like with the last election. I agree with Blackledge, I am tired of hearing people bash this country. It's one thing to bitch about the presidental election but to outright say that americans are a letdown and all this, it's just unpatriotic. I might not be in the armed forces but I feel very strongly about America and if you think that it's so bad here, go live somewhere else. That's the great thing about this country, you have your freedom, and one of those is you can leave if you want to!
