i was just trying to make her feel good....my mom leaves the front door unlocked all the time and then when i tell her later that she did this she just doesn't seem too concerned and i'm like "i know you think we live in this really safe neighborhood, but like stop doing that, it freaks me out"...and then i'll come home later and it's unlocked again. sigh.

i am quite proud of you for resigning; i myself have had to do this with other peoples in the past and its hard and it sucks to have to jump out of the corner in which you have been painted (whether it be by your own brush or a combo of yours and others).
the mooninite cracked me up...then i almost wretched, but that's not you, that's just my tummy bug...
