We are expecting snow here so that will be fun (not). While I wait I might as well do the daily question.

2. When you are old(er), what do you think children will ask you to tell stories about?My kids usually want to hear pet stories. Stories about the pets I had as a kid or as an adult. They never get tired of hearing the same old pet stories

I don't like fruitcake if it's sticky and too rich. It's so difficult to tell what it will be like before you bite into it so I avoid LOL!

You're right you can't tell what it will be like until you bite into it and some of them are horrible.

3. Commercial fruitcake is awful but we also make one that is delicious. Lots of walnuts, dates, dried cranberries and raisins. It's not what most people think of when you talk about fruitcake.

Comercial fruitcake IS truly awful. Your cake sounds yummy. Mine is made with only walnuts, raisins, and maraschino cherries, it's simple and delicious.

Wow - snow. So far, here, it has been very warm ... I hardly need any heating at all, which is better for the bank balance, but not very seasonal

On Saturday it was 48 degrees in southern California and 58 degrees in NY Saturday and Sunday but right now it's 29. So maybe it will get colder by you too.
