Snow and the Daily Question Catch-up

It's snowing! Blah! It started last night at 7:00 and is supposed to continue until 7:00 tonight. They are advising to not go out until the storm has stopped because of the high winds. I'm not looking forward to shoveling that mess

Yes, I was a costumer for a local theater group. I'm not sure if I still have pictures, they were in my Photobucket account but I closed that ages ago.

I remember all the sports metaphors in business, too How ridiculous are sports metaphors? Not everyone enjoys sports and I know quite a few men that are not big sports fans.

I wonder if it’s easier being the oldest in such a large family?

Yeah, it's supposed to be a bad one.

Easier? Being the oldest can be trying at times but it does come with its privileges. I do think it is easier to be the oldest of a large family than being the oldest of 2 or three. Because in a smaller family you are pitted against one or two siblings. In a larger family, I was put in charge at a young age. It was sometimes hard to be the responsible one. BUT as we got older my sibs realized it was hard being the one with a lot of the responsibility and it gained me respect from my sibs. A respect I still have.

My inner child always goes 'Wooh! Snow! I'm envious!' My grown up self sympathises with you.

I'm not a fan of the cold then throw in wet icy cold and bad driving conditions. I have developed a deep hatred of snow the older I get.

You got clobbered today, didn't you? We got practically nothing from it, although the bitter cold and wind is miserable.

They say we got 12-14 inches, not great but not horrible either. (Although some of the drifts were pretty deep.) It was very cold and windy and shoveling was not easy because of the cold. I'd do a half-hour at a time then come inside for a bit to warm up.

It's about all you can do when it's that cold.

Yeah, and also because my back and legs ache after a half hour or so.
