I had a question for you, if you wouldn't mind, that has been bouncing around in my brain since Tuesday.
In your opinion, is it worse:
- To make an uneducated vote - To not vote at all
I was very disappointed in the turnout of voters in my County (I think Orange County was at 40% of voter turnout), but I was also very surprised by the amount of people who did not know what propositions were on the ballot.
I'll sidestep this question and say that we need, as citizens, to start taking part in our actual elections process itself, which means volunteering for election precinct work, and taking place in that election process all the way up the chain. It's clear to me that there is a widespread perception of fraud in our elections; the only way to fix that is to become part of that system and encourage more and more transparency.
But, yes, informed voting is better than uninformed voting; not voting doesn't help at all.
We need to shine the spotlight on what's happening in our country, whether it's with issues, ideas, voting integrity, and on and on. If we don't, we get to live in the nation we deserve.
the only election posters or sticker i saw were for ron paul.
az voted clinton/mccain
*edited to actually answer the question...the perception would be that paul would have won based on the amount of visual support but based on televised reports or personal conversations, i was not surprised
