Wendesday was definately a day I can reflect on--John had 20 dinner guests over to the DC house. John invited them to critique his failed presidential campaign. Several told him they'd wished he had waited longer before conceding Ohio and that he didn't reach out early enough to minority voters. I told him....too bad he didn't listen! Wow. It's been a couple of weeks. John and I made up almost imediately after I wrote last. We spent the weekend curled up under blankets by the fire with Cym, our dog, at our feet. He read me some of his new poetry. It was nice ( Read more... )

John came to the Idaho house early. He'll be here until Tuesday. I like having him around, but he never wants the heat on and I'm freezing even with blankets over me. We got into an arguement earlier and he's giving me the silent treatment. i hope this doesn't last all weekend. We don't serve enough time for eachother and this is our weekend. Sigh.
