How did this happen?

OK, so over the last number of months a small portion of the people I follow here, some art on FurAffinity, and some passed around links were referencing some new reboot of the My Little Pony franchise. Some of the mash-ups were pretty good, and a few of those that became interested were people whose taste in media I respected

Fine... now I'm going to have to watch it.

I think it's popular because if parents HAVE to watch a cartoon ten times in a day, it helps if it's not complete crap. And oh yes, if your toddler likes a certain cartoon, you will watch it that often. :)

Like everything its subjective to the person and how they feel and what humor appeals to them at the time. Who know, may even be the recent stress that has made it more appealing. That would get into a long story and I'll spare you the details.

Certainly from what I've seen from some what you say is 100% correct. A few of the other older guys have had this happen. As I don't have kids I don't really have that excuse tho. :)

Generally speaking I think the later episodes tended to be a bit better.

Hehehe, I LOVE some of the inspired macros (particularly the "I'm going to love and tolerate the shit out of you" one), not to mention the videos (the Pinky and the Brain opening music one.. let's see if I get this right, I don't post video links in comments often)
