So, in Final Fantasy IV DS, when you go to the menu you can see the lead character's thoughts. Rosa has just been kidnapped, let's see what happens:

Yang: Rosa taken... and all of this for the sake of defending our kingdom!
Rydia: I hope they haven't done anything to Rosa.
Edward: I will not stand and watch Cecil lose Rosa as I lost Anna!
Cecil: ( Read more... )

i don't remember you being this racist, on the inside he's a dragon, comics comics comics, the hammer is my penis, get it? cloud is gay!

D: I had to go to four stores to find a copy, but I was really determined to have it THE DAY IT CAME OUT. It's very worth tracking down now, I'm enjoying it a lot :)

It took me a second. I was like, "wait, what is she getting at?" And then it was like OOOOH ha ha ha gay. XD

I'm battling Rubicante. I've been blazing through all because I was so eager to see Edge and hear his voice. Now that I actually have him, I'm slowing down a bit.

The difficulty definitely seems harder, but it also seems like I'm leveling up a lot faster than I usually do. Not that I'm complaining. I guess the constant leveling is keeping up with the difficulty of the game.

Also, the graphic when you enter the theatre? ADORABLE. (disappointed by lack of Edge, however.)

It was just funny when I noticed it, I spend a lot of time obsessively checking the thought ticker.

YOU ARE BEATING ME NOOOO HDU.

It's definitely harder but I like it just because, well, I've played this game a lot. Leveling isn't as much of a chore, either.

Also, the graphic when you enter the theatre? ADORABLE. (disappointed by lack of Edge, however.)

MY EXACT REACTION. I was like AWWWW HOW CUTE and then hey wait where's Edge??

Same here. Every time I clear an event, I check the thoughts to see what everyone is thinking. Kain's reaction to Edge is pretty funny. XD Exactly what I would EXPECT Kain's reaction to Edge to be.

I've never been much for strategizing or realizing the easy ways or correct ways to kill enemies in my RPGs, which is something later FF's didn't require so much of. It's easy enough to just pound away at them and they'll eventually die. FF4 requires a lot of thought and strategy in pretty much EVERY boss battle. I think that's what made the game hard for me.

But I kind of like that, actually. It makes it a little more interesting beyond hack and slash style.

I went BACK to the theatre after I claimed Edge to see if the graphic changed to include him but... nothing. ._. There is a severe LACK of Edge in anything to do with this game! HE HELPS THEM DEFEAT ZEROMUS, YANNO!

I laughed at that so much. I'm addicted to constantly checking everybody's thought bubbles.

I'm about to hit up the Tower of Babel.

I agree, thought bubbles are amaaaaazing and all games should have them. I ride the bus to work for an hour each day, so that's when I play it.

The "oh balls" is my favorite part.
