I decided to move on a while ago.

I'm not really getting over her, that's not the plan, but for the time being (which is a period possibly encompassing years) I'm moving on.

I could go into the reasons, but most of 'em feel pretty damned self-evident.

That's probably the right decision to take. I feel the same way about my boy. If someday we are in a situation in which we are near each other and things click... then so be it, if not maybe I will find someone else I love just as much, though perhaps in a different way.

Okay, shitty lines aside, you've chosen well. Nobody can expect anyone to "get over" anyone when care is significant in such a regard, but a person can absolutely let time take them to other people and new places.
